Inspiration Part 2: Health and Balance
Here I go again, being behind on my blogging. Oh well. I originally wrote part 1, because I was inspired by my friend’s blog about fitness. As a result of her great, relateable writing style, I started to really reflect about my issues with health and beauty, which then led me to reflect on other parts of my life, etc. etc. It happens.
I figure this would be an appropriate time to talk...
10 Ways to Love Others →
terramantra:
Some guidelines for loving:
1. Tell them about their brilliance. They likely can’t see it and they don’t know its immensity, but you can see it, and you can illuminate it for them.
2. Be authentic, and give others the gift of the real you and a real relationship. Ask your real questions. Share your real beliefs. Go for your real dreams. Tell your truth.
3. Don’t confuse...

Inspiration Part. 1: Catching Up.
Well here’s an obligatory sentence: I haven’t written in this thing in FOREVER. Semi-true. Sorry folks, but I was trying to get my life together and was sort of side tracked a little bit when I started a dating blog that I never finished (I’m a serial monogomist; so I guess a dating blog wasn’t the best idea for me, because hi! I hate dating).
But I’m going to be...

I live here.
GPOMyApartment. Sorry for the poor lighting in the living room. But I mean, you get the idea. I love my me-size apartment! My bedroom is on the other side of the wall that my tv and bookcase is leaning against. It’s really boring so I didn’t take a picture of it. And my bathroom is right next to my shoes. Lovely, no? My cozy cozy Brooklyn home.
I am a Tita!
Today, my niece Kira Belle Loyola Ines is born! and weighing in at 5lbs and 15oz. SO EXCITED TO SHOWER HER WITH LOVE!
I am a little (ok, a lotta) bit sad I am not there though. It’s in these moments I wish I lived in CA…
But today is Kira, and Marlo, and Kuya Bernard’s DAY! A day full of love :)
SO EXCITED TO MEET KIRA! or as I like to call her.. KBeezy.

A Litany For Survival
For those of us who live at the shoreline standing upon the constant edges of decision crucial and alone for those of us who cannot indulge the passing dreams of choice who love in doorways coming and going in the hours between dawns looking inward and outward at once before and after seeking a now that can breed futures like bread in our children’s mouths so their dreams will not reflect...

Kahlil Gibran on Love
When love beckons to you, follow him, Though his ways are hard and steep. And when his wings enfold you yield to him, Though the sword hidden among his pinions may wound you. And when he speaks to you believe in him, Though his voice may shatter your dreams as the north wind lays waste the garden. For even as love crowns you so shall he crucify you. Even as he is for your growth so is he for your...

Things I did in the Bay, Part II.
I need to write things down before I forget what I’ve done.
Sunday
-Woke up early-ish (and showered!) to get ready for a fun-filled Sunday.
-Christine picks us up and because I have no sense of direction even with a smart phone, we go around in many circles.
-Brunch at Lime in Castro! BY FAR THE HIPPEST & LOUDEST (and arguably the funnest) brunch place I’ve been to from coast...

Things I did in the Bay, Part I.
For documentation’s sake, and because I really enjoyed my time there.
Friday
-Went to the closest Mexican restaurant to the BART station in Rockridge. Don’t remember the name. Ordered tamales.
-Remembered how much I miss sunshine and Mexican food.
-Dinner at one of my favorite restaurants ANYWHERE I’ve lived: Burma Superstar.
-Drinks at Three Fifty Five. Thanks to...

GPOYW: Bay Area Edition
My two favorite pictures (thus far) from this past weekend:
I brought my 35mm to the bay, so I don’t have all my pictures, but these were taken with my digicam, isaac. Can’t wait for my pictures to be developed!
More deets later about my fantastically amazing trip to the bay. Must document the good times and good eats.

@7a: I go back to sleep.
@8a: This text exchange happens:
